The Minturn Neighborhood
Originally founded during the silver rush of the late 1800s, Minturn is a true haven for locals and a sleepy throwback to the valley before the name “Vail” became world-famous. Just a five-minute drive to Vail or a ten-minute drive to Beaver Creek, Minturn offers residents excellent proximity to arts, culture and world-class winter sport activities while still maintaining its cozy, welcoming and eclectic community. There are untold treasures to discover in Minturn’s famous antique stores, unique restaurants and other shops. At the same time, there’s no shortage of access to pristine Rocky Mountain beauty: the U.S. Forest Service has dubbed Minturn the “Gateway to the White River National Forest” for its prime location, surrounded by National Forest. The Eagle River flows peacefully alongside Minturn, soothing residents with the calm sounds of babbling water. Quaint, community-oriented, and always authentic, you’ll find primarily single-family homes and some condos in this part of the Vail Valley.
